Weld Edit
Tool summary :
- Lets you edit one or multiple weld symbols that you select. Selection filtering is built in.
- While Weld Edit can be used to edit one weld symbol at a time, the tool is more commonly used for multi-editing. The preferred way to edit a single weld symbol is to double-click it while ' Default ' is selected as the selection filter.
- If you preselect multiple types of objects, Weld Edit will edit only those objects that are weld symbols. The other objects will remain selected. Click here for an example. Preselection is done in Select Items mode. Here are the steps:

- Draw an area box or hold down the Shift key and left-click ( Select+ ) several objects of the same type or of different types.
- Invoke Weld Edit .
- The Weld Input window opens.
- In-tool selection takes place when you invoke Weld Edit with nothing selected or with object types other than weld symbols selected. The tool brings up Select Item(s) mouse bindings, and the status line prompts you select weld symbols. Here are the steps:

- Select one or more objects. Built-in selection filtering restricts you to selecting weld symbols. Press the Enter key when you are done selecting the objects.
- The Weld Input window opens.
- To invoke Weld Edit :
Method 1 : Click the Weld Edit icon. The icon can be taken from the group named ' Objects -- Weld Symbols ' and placed on a toolbar (classic) or the ribbon (lightning).
Method 2 : If " Drawing Editor layout style " is ' Classic ', you can use the menu system to choose Objects > Weld Symbols > Edit .
Method 3, 4 or 5 : Weld Edit can also be invoked using a keyboard shortcut , the context menu , or a mode . For the ' Lightning ' layout style, configuration of the interface is done using Customize Interface .
